GBLovely large , warm room with big comfortable bed . Peaceful location at the bottom of the owner’s garden.
GBMark and Jan were perfect hosts. Very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and well cooked. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Perfect location with bus stops a few metres away enabling travel around the Wirral without having to drive. Restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
The weather was cold but we can't blame Mark and Jan for that! At least it was dry.
GBFabulous B&B. A lovely cabin at the end of a pretty garden. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Good shower and comfortable bed. Mark the host was very welcoming and made a great breakfast! This is in a perfect location - less then a minute to a fab pub - we had a great roast. There's also a fab Indian a 2 minute walk away. The bus stop is also a minute away which takes you direct to Liverpool city centre and the beach is only a couple of miles away. We would happily stay here again.
GBManor Garden Lodge was a great place to stay while we were attending a wedding anniversary function in Liverpool. Mark was an excellent host who made us feel really at home and welcome. The location is brilliant, at the bottom of a pretty garden where you could sit out - it must be lovely in the summer. There is a gastropub just minutes away on foot, and the fact that the bus stop is just round the corner is a great bonus, as we caught the bus right into the centre of Liverpool. There is a separate entrance to the accommodation so we didn’t feel as if we were intruding on our hosts’ privacy in the main house. The breakfast of eggs and bacon was beautifully cooked and the coffee was excellent. Thank you Mark!
Absolutely nothing. Perhaps a few nuts and seeds to go with the cereal would be nice.
GBMark was a great host, providing us with really comfortable facilities and a excellent cooked breakfast.
GBMark was there to welcome us when we arrived, offered to help with bags and showed us our room. We stayed in the lodge on the left hand side. Great size room and shower room, high ceiling too! We only stay in places with a king size bed, which this had, and it was very comfortable! The garden setting is lovely and very peaceful, we heard no noise in the morning other than birds chirping. The path to the lodge has motion-sensor lights at night, but we were also glad to have the torch which was thoughtfully provided. The breakfast room is nicely set up, we had our own table and enjoyed the background music! Great quality cooked breakfast, always served promptly. Mark is a great, easygoing host. We definitely hope to stay again when we are in the area!
Shower could do with being a bit stronger, even though we adjusted the spray to the more powerful setting. Perhaps a reminder on the welcome sheet about how to turn on towel rail etc. would be helpful. Wasn't sure how to operate thermostat outside bathroom either, but we were glad to have the portable heater on a chilly night.
GBMark was an excellent host who really took the time to deliver an exceptional service. It was personalised and I really felt at home.
