Portland House

We had a 6 night stay. The hospitality and personal touch from both Colin and Sarah was very good. With the right level of attentiveness. Great selection for breakfast, clean and spacious room. A quiet location within an easy 5 minute walk to the town centre.

The hosts were lovely and friendly, the room very clean and had everything you needed and the breakfast was superb

Everything about it :) The location is great, the people were lovely. Food was cooked well and the hosts kept our preferences in mind with everything. Extremely accommodating!

Close to town. Quiet location. Easy on street parking.

Comfy bed and a really nice breakfast. Really appreciated the extra little things. There is a fridge downstairs for people to help themselves to milk and water plus lovely cakes in the breakfast room available all day. The owners are lovely too.

The hosts were lovely, couldnt do enough for you. Breakfast was superb. Location was brilliant and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back again

Colin and Sarah go beyond expectations to make everything perfect and comfortable. Breakfast was sensational! All the sweet touches from homemade nibbles to info guides helped to create a home away from home. Super location to use as a base to hike and visit the Lake District. Highly recommend!!!
