Lovely small hotel in very central location. Staff very friendly and welcoming, particularly the chef. Had an excellent Sunday lunch there. You'd want to be hungry - huge portions!

No parking, but car parks reasonably close to hotel

The lack of breakfast. There was no bread, no yoghurts, no fruit. very little choice of normal milk and cereals. Only half of the toaster worked. If my wife had not found a pot porridge she would have had nothing apart from a cup of coffee for breakfast. Altogether very disappointing.

Breakfast I would say was the one area that did not reach expected expectations!!!!!

Coffee machine out of coffee beans, so consequently not working!!!

The hotel was basic, the breakfast was almost non existent, so we had to go elsewhere and pay! however it was all basic and the bed uncomfortable.

Prompt reaction to my request for heating

Had to get the heating put on then woke at 1a m. because it was still full on and I was baking hot. The ' wardrobe' is an open rail with coat hangers. Laughable artificial flower in over- huge glass vase. Fortunately the chef came into the gloomy dining room to show me the cupboard where the plates and cereals are. No hotel personnel were around at 8.30. There were no glasses for juice, no napkins. The sugar bowl needed to be washed. Only sliced soft white bread

we were in room above the bar, was quite noisey till closing time, then it was fine.
