Apple Tree Bed and Breakfast

The place was beautifully decorated, clean, light and good taste. Everything was high quality; bedding, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. Good quality shower. Facilities are great. Tea, coffee and a coffee machine. Bottled water also was a nice touch.

My only criticism is there is no choice for a cooked breakfast. I always look forward to a full English when I stay anywhere, so that was very disappointing. I also thought breakfast was in with the cost but I had to pay an extra £5 per breakfast for which I only had toast and my parents had cereal and toast.

Apple Tree Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful property in an ideal location, close to Tavistock Wharf (the reason for my stay) and the town centre. Room One was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and featured a really comfortable bed. There is a table and chairs in the window, and the delicious breakfast was brought to our room. Andy was a great host.

Clean and bright rooms

I don't think we'd really noticed 'breakfast served in bedroom.'

The bed was very comfortable. The B&B is within easy walking distance to the town center. Breakfast was delicious and served to our room. Guest parking for 4 vehicles was provided behind the B&B. Andy, the host, was extremely helpful. He carried our bags up the stairs to the top of the B&B to our room.

We stayed in Room 4. The shower in our detached bathroom was unusable. It was tiny with sliding solid doors and a large rain shower head. The valves were not labeled and the water first came out cold but then turned scalding hot and remained scalding hot regardless of the position of the valve. There was no way to stand aside of the water stream in the shower because it was so small and you could not stand outside the shower and test the water with your hand because of the solid sliding doors. There was parking for 4 vehicles behind the B&B but a BMW was parked taking up 2 spots leaving no room to park as the other 2 spots were taken when we arrived. The B&B faces the main road through town and we could hear the traffic noise even through the closed windows. The Bed & Breakfast charges you separately 10 pounds per person for breakfast if you booked with Booking.com. Never seen a B&B with separate charges for breakfast. It should just be called Bed.
