Misty View Inn

The hotel is near to Ella station, you need to walk to right side and go backward If you train is from kandy to ella direction, that is a small gate which is open, turn right and keep walking, you will reach the hotel like around 300 meters. we don't know this and tuk tuk charge us 800rp for 1.5km distance ( yes, nowadays ella is hot and this is where tuk tuk come to find money). The location is near to 3 arch bridge, just walk 300 meters and hike up 2 min, you already reached 3 arch bridge, you should go take some photo there or just enjoy there because there is no body usually. The host an south Indian uncle which is Buddhism and he is great and friendly, we ask if he could drive us around to tea factory and nine arch bridge, and he is ok and charge us with reasonable price and also buy some snack for us, end up we buy a coconut drink for him at the small entrance to the nine arch bridge Also not to mentioned the free breakfast is delicious.

This is my second stay at Misty View Inn. The host and his family were most caring and kind folks. Sameera, the tuk-tuk driver they arranged for me took me to the Nine Arches Bridge and showed me around Ella beyond all my expectations. He's an excellent driver cum guide. The food served at Nihal kade was delicious. It's again my lovely host Mr Karunarathne who introduced them to me. I had an early checking-in as the train reached Ella earlier than I'd expected it to. My host and his family arranged it at such short notice, which was a great relief for me. I spent three nights at Misty View Inn and it was absolutely fantastic. The room I occupied is large enough to accommodate even a family of four or more. It's about 1.5 km from Ella town, but the walk from Ella town to Misty View Inn is a magnificent nature trail. I immensely enjoyed going up and down it. From Misty View I went sightseeing in Badulla - Muthiyangana temple and Dunhindha Falls - and then in Koslanda - Diyaluma Falls. The next day I paid a visit to the storied Adisham Bungalow in Haputale and also the Ravana Falls. All in all, Misty View Inn is a cool place to stay in and also to travel to other areas by bus or train as you prefer. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent homestay in Ella.

There's absolutely nothing to complain about.

The stay was brilliant with an amazing breakfast and possibility to hire Tuk Tuk. Family was super sweet to make the stay as good as possible.

Lovely family, delicious breakfast, the apartment is located about one and a half kilometres from the centre of Ella.

The family that runs the home stay is so wonderful and sweet. They took me in last minute for a booking. When i arrived they offered me tea and cookies. The breakfast in the morning was great and super filling. And The morning I left they offered me a free ride into town on the tuk tuk. This was a perfect stay!

The host was amazing. Really helpfull!

The room was a bit damp.
