Rock View Cottage

The hotel location was absolutely beautiful and we got to wake up to an amazing view of the mountains each morning. It’s around a 25 minute walk into Ella town however they offer a tuktuk wherever you like at any given time which we found so helpful and a lot cheaper than the local tuktuks. They also arranged transport to pick us up from Sigiriya and our onward travel to Yala which was really convenient! Room was also super clean and spacious. Breakfast was amazing each morning, we got provided a range of fruit, omlette, smoothies, toast and different Sri Lanka dishes which were so tasty. The family were so lovely and made us feel so welcome - they really couldn’t do enough for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

An amazing place to stay with the kindest most helpful hosts. The food was great as was the view from the balcony! 100% recommend :)

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Rock View Cottage. La chambre est parfaitement propre, avec un balcon privatif, et au calme à l’écart du centre animé d’Ella (25min à pieds). La vue est imprenable depuis ce petit cocon intimiste. L’établissement est tenu par une famjlle, tous très gentils, souriants et serviables, donneurs de bons conseils, ouverts à la discussion et aux petits soins! Ils nous ont à de nombreuses reprises emmenés en tuktuk dans la ville (à 5min) mais aussi emmené en voiture jusqu’à notre destination suivante (Udawalawe). Bref, on s’est senti à la maison ! Gros coup de cœur, nous recommandons +++ 🙏

Room smelt quite damp but perhaps a one off…

Prachtig uitzicht, ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Altijd een dikke glimlach en niks is te gek om te vragen. Zou het 100% aanbevelen.

Oshan et son équipe on étaient adorables avec nous ! Une gentillesse rare Tout a été parfait du confort des chambres aux petits déjeuner . Qui plus est, l’emplacement est top car proche des départs de rando et accès centre ville .

Des hôtes vraiment accueillants et de très bons conseils. Un petit déjeuner excellent avec une vue incroyable Ne pas hésiter à prendre le dîner chez eux

Sehr freundliche Gastgäber, sauberes Zimmer. Das Essen hat sehr geschmeckt.

Het uitzicht vanuit onze kamer was echt top. Daarnaast was de kamer ook netjes en kregen we elke ochtend een heerlijk ontbijt. De hosts zijn erg behulpzaam en brengen je graag naar het centrum van Ella. Een aanrader!
