The Symbol of Ella

Indika the owner was extremely attentive to details and went above and beyond for us. The location was great, the atmosphere was special, the bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the breakfast delicious! Be aware that this is a homestay so you will enter through the owner's home and it is a shared external space with the home and with neighbours. Even though we could hear the neighbours slightly it was truly a quiet, relaxing getaway in a really special place. We appreciated Indika's efforts to make us feel at home and to help us with whatever we needed. Definitely great value.

The room is well decorared and is very cleam. Indika is an outstanding host and organiswd transportation and trips for reasonable prices. Breakfast was deliciois and Indika asks for your preferences every day. Would book the room again!

Indika is so helpful and kind! the room is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. we loved to stay at Indika‘s home! ella town is super close, 4-5 minutes in walking distance. we really recommend this place :) the wifi connection was good and fast. the breakfast was tasty and you can choose between different options.

Exceptional place and great value for money. Key highlights include: - Indika, our host, who has been incredible throughout the trip. This included maintaining the rooms throughout our stay as well as organising cars for us around the country and organising our safari day in Yala. Indika is an exceptional host and did an excellent job on our holiday. - the place is perfectly located, a short walk from the city centre. Room is spacious and Indika makes sure it is clean at all times. Bathroom is lovely. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast every day which was yummy and filling - being so close to the city centre meant it was very easy to organise activities and head out around ella in the day

This hotel/home stay is the best of Ella. First of all Indika and his family are the nicest people/family we met along the way. They are so welcoming and make sure that your stay is super comfortable. The room is so clean, good bed, and amazing shower. In the morning they serve an amazing breakfast. He also helped us with transport for the remaining days of holiday. I would come back for sure and recommend this place to friends.

Basically the hotel is a home stay with only one room to rent. Though home stay may have some negative connotations to some, the room is at one edge of the home and quite private. The room itself is full of special touches and is quite spacious with a wonderful balcony only comprised by the mosquitoes. The owners are extremely conscientious and hospitable. The breakfasts were incredible and our one dinner there equally enjoyi.

Really nothing. A bit of a trek into town for the evening meal but owners happily arranged a tuk-tuk ride back. A better inside seating arrangement would be one suggestion.

Very nice and very lovingly furnished accommodation. Only 5 minutes walk from town. Very nice terrace where great breakfast was served every morning. The cleanliness of this accommodation is to be emphasized, we have never experienced anything like it in Sri Lanka! We loved it! Very friendly and caring host. We didn't miss anything and wouldn't improve anything! Indika had very good tips for excursions, shops, etc. He also booked us a fantastic cooking class. He organized tuk tuks for us and the onward journey with a driver and all at fair prices! Thank you for everything Indika, we will be back and will definitely stay longer next time!!!

The room is beautiful, clean, comfortable and has an amazing balcony with a lovely garden where you can watch all the birds and animals running around the trees. Indika went above and beyond to help us navigate Ella. After our stay he helped organized transportation to the next city. The breakfast which was included in the price was amazing; smoothies, eggs, toast, fruits, pancakes, tea, or whatever you want. Honestly our best stay of the whole trip and would recommend anyone going to Ella to book with him.
