Gordon House

It was a lovely, quirky bed and breakfast (that will also provide dinner). The area surrounding it was magnificent and I can't wait to go back.

Really and truly nothing.

We loved our stay at Gordon House - it is a really quirky and unique B&B. Les and John made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for us. We cycled to Gordon House and Les had a whisky waiting for us (which Les kindly swapped for a tea and coffee!). The room was a great size with a lovely big bathroom. We had tea and coffee making facilities in our room with some treats, and also a fridge. We had a full Scottish breakfast which was delicious, and kept us going all day. We would definitely stay again if we're visiting Tomintoul.

Great place, so beautiful and Leslie and John are amazing! Leslie and John were excellent hosts; we will always cherish the joyful and happy memories of the time we spent with them.

Amazing hospitality, it was like being part of the family for a day. There was a whisky waiting for me on arrival and I was invited into the garden for pimms!! Secure place for my cycle too. Host did me a full three course dinner with drinks and cheeseboard for a very reasonable charge, and they were full of helpful information and good conversation. All B&Bs should be like this!!

I didn't like having to leave.

We were charged 500GBP for the stay. The agreement was for 260GBP. What can we do about this?

The owner couldn't be more helpful, cooked great meal essentially just for me and was very informative about where food came from etc. The "room" was a whole wing of a house with a very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Good facilities in village.

Water pressure a bit low, making bath slow to run. This is apparently a problem for the whole village.

A wonderfully quirky place to stay, Les and John are wonderful fun hosts who may join you for dinner and are most entertaining. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms basic but very functional. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. Whiskey on arrival was very welcome after a cold wet cycle!

If you want a conventional run of the mill b&b then this may not be for you, but if you like something a little quirky, a little unusual then this is for you. Its not the tidiest of places, it was a bit chilly on arrival (but we did get there earlier than planned) but if you're up for the unusual then this is the place!
