Despite the fact that it's right above the pub, it is very quiet at night, the bed is super comfortable and Kate is lovely and very welcoming. I enjoyed my stay, thank you.

Kate was very helpful and an excellent host. Everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and more besides.

Replace the bath with a modern shower unit. Old fashioned mixer tap shower.

This was a return visit and we were just as impressed. Great rooms, lovely pub and friendly staff. The bed was amazingly comfy and shower great. The communal kitchenette is really handy and you can eat your food or a takeaway in the pub. A major bonus is it’s just across the road from London Road oatcakes. It’s also within walking distance of superb currys and other great pubs including the Glebe.

Situato nel centro di Stoke, molto facile da raggiungere dalla stazione dei treni. Stanza grande, pulita e confortevole situata sopra il bellissimo pub frequentato da gente simpatica e cordiale dove si può bere dell'ottima birra. Host Kate è stata sempre molto gentile e disponibile fin da prima della partenza che durante il soggiorno. Un ringraziamento particolare per la pazienza. Se dovessi tornare a Stoke alloggerei sicuramente nuovamente qui anche per il rapporto prezzo qualità eccezionale

We were surprised with this accommodation. Externally, it looked rough and in a somewhat depressed looking area, but inside it was really comfortable, spacious, clean and well presented. Bathroom was a bit on the small size, but the shower was roomy and good. Our host appeared a bit eccentric, but he was welcoming, helpful and fun. Re location, it is not far from the Spode ceramics museum. I would recommend this for the value for money and the presentation and comfort of the room

The only criticism is the glass shelf above the bathroom basin. It presents a risk (to one's forehead) which could be averted by shifting if 40cm to the side
