Reynolds House Inn

The bathroom was spacious and the shower very efficient.

The welcome, which was more like a briefing on the house rules. The bedroom had virtually no hanging space for our clothes. The bed, although a standard double, was smaller than we are used to and not very comfortable for 2 people. In addition when we unrolled the blanket to provide some extra warmth we found used tissues which we presume were left there by previous guests. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and food was not allowed so all we had was water. As far as we were aware there was no provision for tea or coffee anywhere else in the house. The breakfast was communal with no choice, our first was OK but the second we did not enjoy as we had no idea what it consisted of. There was a distinct lack of any kind of fruit. The fact that we had originally booked for 4 nights B and B but only stayed for 3 nights and had 2 breakfasts shows that we were most disappointed with this Inn.

It was very intimate and comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and made you feel welcome. We really enjoyed interacting with the other couples staying there and breakfast was wonderful!! We would definitely recommend it to other travelers! Don’t miss Hope Cemetery……

It is on a Main Street , not a lot of sound proofing in the building, traffic noise was irritating

The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the company of the other guests, however, our host seamed a bit put out that we didn't arrive for breakfast until 8:15. Breakfast was served from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.

1.no food or beverages were permitted in our room. unheard of. 2. we had to remove our shoes to enter the building. Who requires this? 3. no coffee or tea station available to the guests. Amazing! 4. the proprietor was gruff and seemed to be in a constant bad mood. He was also not dressed very well for an Inn Keeper. 5. we were also told that there was a full bar on the property, however, it was never open. And, according to the owners, VT state law does not allow guests to bring in their own alcohol. 6. our room faced the street which was only a few feet away. there were loud motorcycles passing in front of the Inn all night. the thin, single pane glass windows did nothing to dampen the noise resulting in a lot of disrupted sleep. 7. there were no drapes over the windows. they only had thin, translucent roller shades that didn't work. one was locked in the open position, one was locked in the closed position and the third was ripped. 8. no place to place toiletries in the bathroom. 9. no closet or place to store luggage. we had to keep our luggage on the floor with our clothes in them. 10. the future in our room took like it came form a road side swap meet. 11. the common areas appeared to be a museum for warn victorian furniture and Lego models. We could not find one area that felt inviting or comfortable to sit and relax. 12. the entry was cluttered and there was not reception desk. they simply had a bell to ring and a phone number to text if no one answered the bell.
