"Home away from home"

Chris & Mary were so welcoming they could not do enough for us it's the nicest b&b we have stayed in breakfast was beautiful with plenty of gluten free toast and sausage s Chris even collected us from the bar late at night I would highly recommend this stay to anyone well done Chris & mary we will be back

Rugged Glen lives up to its name. A short distance outside Glengarriff and accessed by a country lane it is worth the drive.. Chris and Mary take great pride in welcoming their guests. Their house is comfortable with ample parking. Apart from location and quietness, breakfast at Rugged Glen is simply wonderful, don't miss it!

"Excellent stay on the Beara Peninsula"

Excellent stay just outside Glengarriff. We booked the family room which is actually two rooms, one room with a double and one room with two singles, perfect for families. There is also a TV, kettle, fridge and microwave in the room. Very spacious and comfortable. Great choices for breakfast, we had the veggie breakfast, scrambled eggs and pancakes - all excellent. Super friendly hosts, Mary and Chris are kind and happy to provide lots of information about the local area. Overall, an excellent place to stay when visiting Glengarriff.

Some reviews note that it is a bit difficult to find, we found it ok. Just take the middle track up between the entrances to the campsites, it is a rough road.
