The place is correct. The rooms are big and it's a walking distance to the beach. The food is nicely done.

Just that the prices for meals listed in the booking confirmation have nothing to do with what you're actually charged. That led to some misunderstanding once I got the bill and left me with a bit of a bitter taste

Green garden, idylic sourroundings. Best place for birdwatching whole day. artisane buildings of clay and many creative items to discover in the garden. Go to the river and find a canoe birding tour through mangrove rooted green jungle. Long beach, cool regae music. Party at full moon if you are lucky. Area big enough to have distance to party ground for sleeping. Carismatic owner. Self cooked big and delicious meals, real coffee and big variety of teas. Cold beer and bar, big parking area

Not air condtioned, bur ventilator is sufficient for comfy stay, sooth winds from the bay

Ellis was one of the greatest host. He is very welcoming and kind. he is building step by step an amazing heaven on earth in Ghana. The garden is very quiet, this is because it's a bit out of the village (10min walk). Also the rooms are 3-5min distance walk to the beach.

Food and drinks were way too expensive. Even though this is a remote place, we can fin much cheaper around the place. It's compensating the fact that the rooms are very cheap. Only thing I didnt really like is that the host is kinda pushing us to spend money on food and drinks and we feel bad for not doing it. Don't expect much internet conection but this is not only in the garden, it is all around the village and we can't really do anything about it.

The whole stay with Ellis at Green Zion was magical – the rooms he has built are beautiful, his home-cooked vegetarian breakfasts and dinners are brilliant, and the bar on the beach with geckos on the ceiling was a perfect place to stare out to sea. We loved the entire ethos of how Ellis is building his paradise with ecology, creativity and hospitality in mind. We were originally planning to stay for one night and move on, but we cancelled our next booking and stayed three nights. This was our favourite place we stayed in Ghana, and we hope to come back. We loved everything – and only wish we'd known more about Ellis' story while booking, then we would have booked for longer :)

We loved the quiet beach, the smoothies and breakfast. The beach hut was a great chill spot during the day. We had a spacious room with mosquito nets and very comfortable beds. Ellis was also a beautiful soul, hilarious and welcoming!

We didn’t realise that taxis would not always be willing to take us to the place due to the poor road conditions - this was a bit tricky! although we did ultimately manage. We were initially given a room for 2 people even though we had booked for 3 people (but this was resolved in the end). this might be an issue with Booking.com so it is worth confirming with the host.

The owner is super nice and the location is very chilled. Great place to relax.

Not good value for money. The room was ok, but not worth the price. Shared bathroom and shower very average. We ordered food once but the menu price is outdated because of inflation, so he has to tell you the price of whatever is available. The lunch was good but too oily very expensive (USD5.3) for a curry. The lodge nearby has great food for fair prices, so you can just go there.
