Villa Akasa

We stayed here for a few days with our 3-year-old son. We've traveled a lot in Kerala. This accommodation has in comparison to others a very high standard of cleanliness. The staff is incredibly friendly and can answer any questions you might have. The food is very authentic and delicious. A major advantage is the shaded pool, where you can relax and cool off during the midday heat. we have been to Varkala a few times before but this was the first time to the south cliff region which is much less crowded and relaxing than the more popular north cliff. We highly recommend Villa Akasa if you want to be close to the beach but still enjoy idyllic privacy away from mass tourism.

I had a truly wonderful stay, spotless and stylish room, exceptionally friendly owner who would do anything to help you, great service throughout, and a location that made exploring the area effortless. Breakfast was great. Every detail felt carefully thought out, creating a perfect balance of comfort and convenience.

Villa Akasa was truly a home away from home. My mum and I absolutely loved our stay and the two days we spent there were incredibly peaceful. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with handmade fabrics that gave it a lovely artisanal feel. The outdoor shower was a wonderful experience. The beautiful lush green surroundings gave the whole place a quiet, oasis feel. We were initially concerned about the mosquitoes due to an allergic reaction, but the Villa Akasa team were so helpful and provided repellent sticks, which made a big difference. The food was the best we had in Kerala - so fresh, flavoursome, and clearly made with care. The team were great with my nut allergy. The owners, Sid and his mum, are genuinely lovely people with the kindest hearts - and Raju and Babu were just as wonderful. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and caring. We felt so well looked after throughout our stay. Their dogs are also gorgeous! Sid also provided us with some great shopping recommendations - thank you again!! Thank you SO much to the entire Villa Akasa team. You have truly built and run a beautiful place. We hope to visit again!

There was some traffic noise and construction pollution (dust / smog) from the nearby road which could be heard from the room (as our room backed onto the road). However, this is to be expected and did not put us off - but just flagging!

Very small, not a lot of facilities. A little overpriced for the facilities provided.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Akasa and hope to come back!! The property is done so well with lots of greenery and very charming rooms. We enjoyed the hospitality by Sid (the owner) and his staff.

Location was amazing, all spots in Fort Kochi were walkable, the beach was 2 minutes away. Breakfast was excellent, especially the appam and stew. Staff were very friendly and helped us out with anything we needed.
