owner refuses to refund the night because she had "expences" the expences: £50 taxi for staff to get the room ready... so they sold a room that was not ready, the owner rushed to hang up on me, because she was having a dinner i stayed elsewhere

I liked the whole room and was left alone which I liked. The area was perfect because it was near the train station and on the high street.

When it was dark I thought a another light was needed near the gate cos it was dark.

Breakfast fantastic. Everything fantastic.

Location was ideal

The property was incredibly dirty, there was mould and damp on the walls covered up by picture frames. Dust and cobwebs everywhere including on the bed frame. Hairs on the bedding. The bathroom door jammed constantly. When I messaged to ask for directions to parking we received no reply.

We were contacted before arrival and shown in by a staff member from the cafe. She also gave us good directions to get up onto the town walls. Room had a good quality digital TV.

No breakfast or biscuits included, even though it is still called a "bed and breakfast" on Booking.com, stating "Very good breakfast", with continental etc listed under Breakfast info. Milk and toilet roll were provided (although not ready when we arrived), but shower gel was out of stock. Bathroom had no hooks, shelf or soap dish in shower. Parking options were somewhat inconvenient.
