Marahomes

I turned up and the property had been double booked (on another booking platform). The owner of Marahomes paid for me to stay at Premier Inn which was appreciated. Thank you.

Room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Unfortunately as there was no kettle in the room, I had to go to the kitchen, for our morning cuppa, down two flights of stairs as we were in the attic room. If I had known this prior I would not have booked this room.

On arrival there was no one there to meet us, normally I wouldn't mind providing we had the information to gain access, front door key code, not to mention the room we were in. This was not acceptable as we had travelled over 3 hours and we're a little short of time to get ready to go to our function the same evening. The phone number on booking.com for the host, was no good as I tried it numerous times and no answer. Tried to leave a voicemail but it cut off before I had finished saying the message. In the end I had to text the host to explain. After being there more than 40 minutes, they did finally send the information we needed. Service 1 out of 10, room 6 out of 10, value for money (considering above comments) 5 out of 10. Should only be charging £50 with the way we were treated.

It was basic /clean

Getting into the property was difficult as the message didn’t come in til 17.12 - check in time was 14.00pm. Luckily I was a bit late and another couple were struggling though the same thing. Another resident let us in and we then had to delve into emails looking for an email we’d may have missed. If the text message had come prior to check in time it would have been fine. I was late for my dinner appointment. Some refreshments would have been good -even water! Paper towels in the shared bathroom would hsve been better in these times. Ran out of toilet paper in the morning

Everything. Upon arrival I could not access my room, it was locked so I had to use another open one. The building smelt fusty. There were stains on the floor, walls and furniture. When I pulled the bedding back I found loose hairs across the bedding. I have lived in student accommodation cleaner than this. Hopefully I can get a full refund.

It was in the middle of a dated housing estate far from Bushey more like Carpenters Park. Steep stairs difficult with suitcase. Not even homely. Not even a soft chair and the bed was a foot from the floor. Not particularly cheap.

The bed was dirty and I swear the sheets were used.dirty frying pan on cooker,grill covered in fat of some sort,no teaspoons and only 3 cups left in cupboard.only one towel left for 2 of us
