Missed 2 breakfasts as booked through work ..

Easy to get the key from the other location, wish I'd eaten at the restaurant, it smelled divine. Ease of entry, character of the building, common lounge room and kitchen were clean and comfortable, the en suite was lovely.

The only complaint would be that the mattress was old (I presume,) as it had a large divot in the centre. I still managed a good night's sleep, and would stay there again, but would ask for a different room.

Fantastic location for my needs. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Dinner & breakfast at The Ship Inn were amazing. Great value for money. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The floor in Room 6 just outside the bathroom was very squeaky. Lack of teaspoons in the kitchen to make a coffee!

Quiet, and because the rooms were a mix of "hotel " bookings and longer term residents the kitchen and laundry facilities ( Neirher of which I used), the evening meal in the main hotel and the breakfast were both great. Really clean and very cheerful and friendly cleaning lady.

The notice telling you to take your boots off as you opened the door was a bit of a downer, and I felt as if I was intruding in someone's house. Odd feeling, but don't let that put you off, if you are in a group or even a couple that may be different.

only one toilet shared

Tiny room. No shampoo or shower gel in shower cubicle (and cubicle door did not not seal when ‘shut’ … so had to hold it shut when water was flowing!) Worst of all: the carpet by the bed was filthy with old toenail clippings, broken biscuit crumbs and crisps! I had to clean these up myself before I could get onto the bed. Felt physically sick!! 🤢

All of the above … PLUS: the front door electronic keypad lock was very temperamental; it wouldn’t open as advised. Needed to sit outside and wait for staff to fix it before I could access my room and possessions. The back door to the kitchen was left unlocked throughout my stay (other residents’ preference to using the troublesome keypad door lock!) which was obviously a security risk!!!
