Douglas House

Host was lovely, parking was actually easy but not sure how it would be at the height of summer because it's parking on the street. We upgraded our room and it was just lovely, spacious and so comfortable, breakfast was very good - we loved Bart the cat :)

Heating went off on the second day which made it too cold for us! But a heater was brought in so that was fine

The whole of the small B&B was beautifully decorated, cosy, and welcoming. Kate, the owner, was helpful and friendly but not intrusive. She was also a good cook as breakfast was lovely. Very close to the centre of town and to a variety of different restaurants for dinner. Rooms and bed were comfortable and well appointed. Great stopover on the way south. Highly recommended.

My single room was small but perfectly formed. I enjoyed all aspects of my stay including a great breakfast. Property was clean and comfortable throughout and had a nice, relaxed vibe

Lovely house, absolutely immaculate inside, especially the bathroom. King size bed was so comfortable. Ideally situated for bars and restaurants, and as a base for exploring the local area. Breakfasts were tremendous and prepared with local produce. Haddock and poached egg was a delight. Host couldn't have been any more helpful. Thoroughly recommend Douglas House.
