Douglas House

Kate, the owner, was both friendly and helpful. She was very welcoming from the moment I arrived until I departed. The breakfast she provided each morning was both tasty and filling. The whole property was immaculately clean, tidy and very well presented. The tea and coffee provided in the bedroom was very good; the en suite shower room was extremely well provided with toiletries and towels.

Nothing! The whole place exceeded my expectations.

Our favourite b&b, best in castle Douglas. Wouldn't stay anywhere now. The rooms are so clean and comfy. The home cooked breakfast was delicious

The only thing is the water pressure in the shower but otherwise I wouldn't complain.

Castle Douglas is a very pleasant typically Scottish small town, free of tourist crowds and quietly prosperous.

Super place with very friendly and helpful owner, single room was small but had everything i needed at a very reasonable price, what more could you want for an overnight stay. Well done to the owner for a very nice set up.

Friendly welcome from Kate and bike stored safely. I stayed in a single room which was perfect for 1 night and really good value for money. Kate recommended a superb local restaurant and honestly the food was delicious (Nicos). Excellent breakfast

Warm, clean, quiet and cozy room,really comfortable bed and quality bedding. Brilliant power shower. Lovely breakfast. And all provided by friendly kind staff. Highly recommended. The location was perfect, a mere 3 minute walk to the high street with enough quality restaurants to choose from.
