Gateway House

Very comfy night’s stay. Peaceful street and great that the ‘quiet time’ from 10 pm was observed. All as described and very good value, particularly with the inclusion of a choice of breakfast items. Easy access via key box. Clear, friendly and prompt communication.

Booked so that I could easily travel from Didcot Parkway in the morning. Only issue with my stay was the unreliability of buses from the station when I arrived - no fault of the property owners, obviously, but a bit of an inconvenience. Not trusting the buses I walked back in the morning (and might have done regardless as only a mile and travelling very light!).

It was available, inexpensive, and the horizontal surfaces in the house were clean.

The bathroom has a big moisture problem, with model or mildew on the walls, caulk, and ceiling. I'm allergic, so I tried to minimize using the bathroom. There was also water damage, which looked a bit mildewy, on the ceiling around the dormer in the bedroom at the front of the house. It wasn't possible to hang up my clothing, because the closet cannot be opened because of how close the bed is. I also didn't realize that breakfast would be included. It was fresh fruit (good) and highly processed yougurt, breakfast cereals, or long shelf-life croissants (which I can't eat). In the end I just got breakfast from the Sainsburys anyway.
