The Beacon Hotel

It was very quiet. Generally, the hotel is very well maintained. I loved the fact that there was a kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed had hair on it from previous guests. The heater in the room could not be controlled. The provided towels were quite small in size.

I felt safe and comfortable plus given privacy when required The use of the fridge kettle,kitchen utensils.being able to use dinning area and lounge

Was not sure how to regulate heating so room cold at times

I asked for lower room due to mobility problems and was given ground floor which was very spacious and comfy bed.fantastic location

Nothing except unfortunately on the night we stayed the temperature dropped and the heating didn't come on so just a little cooler than would have liked but would definitely stay again

We come after 9 pm, we mention on our arrival, nobody was there to give a key, we tried to get someone for almost an hour, only when we call to booking.com someone come to see us, downstairs was plenty of guys who was drinking and playing games, also we booked two rooms, but owner or receptionist couldn’t find our bookings, nearly one hour spent on trying to get into our rooms, I was coming with my husband and brother in low, next day I heard someone, again or owner or receptionist was asking if my going out for walk I said yes and he ask me I am allowed to go out, not sure it was joke or he was saying seriously, but definitely his comment wasn’t nice, only what I can say location perfect service very low standard

I have stayed at the beacon, twice per year for the past few years.I have never had an issue. The location is great for me, as it is within walking distance of the shops,and beach etc. it is reasonably priced,clean and tidy. Regards Roddy

The pool table and dart board were great we spent a couple of hours there. Room was large. Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again

The only thing that would of helped, is having a chair in the room, instead of sitting or laying on a bed. Otherwise, a great stay & definately will be staying there again.
