Jacob was lovely and very helpful. Bless him and his family.

Jacob did his best to keep everything in the house presentable, but the house is run down and in desperate need of serious maintenance. The roof leaked in the main bedroom and I was scared that the ceiling might cave in. The carpets are water stained and the main bedroom reeks of mould.

The beds are comfortable and the house is clean.

There was no TV. If you need iron you have to ask. My understanding of B&B is that you get breakfast but just left without.

the places smelly, carpet smelly, they had a fan on to try to reduce the smell. upon arrive the yard was dirty and there was a long dead black cat near the door. I complained to Louise the owner, and demanded my refund, I wanted my full money to book else where but everything was fully booked. I was very dissappointed to drive all the way for a filthy, smelly back door room. They gave me back R400. I still wanted my full amount and if I was not stranded, i was going to find another accomodation.

Kestell is a lovely, small town and the property is on a quiet backroad. Amazing views of the Drakensburg. Jacob was a wonderful host. Warm and engaging to talk to. Delicious cooked breakfast
