Kirklands Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast was excellent. Our host, Douglas, was friendly and informative. The setting of the house was beautiful.

The separation between the bedroom and the bathroom was a bit of a problem because of my medical condition.

Lovely welcome,clean,quiet,well equipped,access to the local towns was great a good base for the borders We went into Edinburgh by train free parking at station Lots of eating places to choose from we visited Montecasino the Italian in Melrose great meal and lovely service An enjoyable few days we did not want to leave thank you Douglas.

We were made very welcome, nothing too much trouble. Douglas went way above and beyond what he needed to for us.

Beautiful old country house with many personal additions. The host was wonderful and provided a most enjoyable breakfast. The location was ideal for visiting the many Border towns. Would highly recommend Kirkland House and hope to return.

Location brilliant. Welcoming and friendly. Arrangement of facilities not quite as described but only an issue if you were looking for a perfect match. Room was comfortable and adequate. In keeping with a family home taking guests, whilst working around an historic building - it is a juggling act that is achieved! Breakfast is awesome especially the fruit salad!

Felt a little constrained as regards timing for coming/going as key to front door was not easily identifiable when main entrance was locked. Not a big issue tho.

Great and luxurious stay. Great and very big room and bathroom. You can read one of the many books available in the house or enjoy the gardens. Breakfast was excellent and organised as such that you can connect with other guests.

This was an absolute fabulous stay and location. No remarks.
