From the moment I arrived the hosts could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is both quiet and yet convenient for local attractions. The rooms were spacious, light and airy. The breakfast was magnificent with freshly cooked local produce - some home grown. There is plenty of information provided regarding local sights and restaurants. Douglas was more than will to help and advice at any time. If I ever return to the area again I would certainly stay here again without any hesitation.

There was virtually nothing we didn't like. A lovely very quiet location but close enough to local amenities. The breakfast was delicious with homemade touches such as bread, jams and fresh eggs. The host was extremely welcoming and full of useful tips and information about the area. Will definitely book here again if we come back this way.

The perfect location for visiting the sights in and around Melrose. Douglas & Penny are wonderful hosts and make you feel very welcome in their splendid country home.

The host was helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were very good with a wide selection of menu items.

The room was very small and cramped and the bathroom was not en suite.

The Breakfast was delicious 😋 The location for my needs was fantastic. The Service and local information was perfect. Douglas was very helpful but also a fountain of knowledge.

We stayed in the cottage which was fully self contained. There was a separate sitting room which was comfortable and a more than adequate kitchen. Parking was free and right next to the cottage. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room was delightful
