"The perfect base from which to explore the wine country.."

It looks like a little slice of an England.. the gardens are marvelous and Rashma’s heirloom tomatoes make a delicious treat for her great English breakfasts.

This was our first stop on New Zealand and it set a very high bar.

Great location. Our host Reshma was warm, welcoming & very responsive. She went above & beyond! She made the guests breakfast & packed the 4 of us food for the next day since we were traveling & had to leave before breakfast. Beautiful home & grounds - the garden was gorgeous. On site bikes very basic - could use regular maintenance. Guests had access to shared small fridge, tea, coffee, cookie jar served alongside silverware & beautiful cups, mugs…. Would recommend this gem & would definitely stay here again! Thank You Reshma!

My husband and I had been in a camper van for 3 weeks and decided to spend the night at Anglesea House Inn. It was a last minute decision and we are extremely happy that there was availability. Reshma was so welcoming and the home and grounds were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately we were only able to spend one night, but if we are ever back in the area we wouldn’t hesitate to stay with Reshma at Anglesea House Inn.

Location is very convenient to many of the wineries in the area. We loved the free bikes to be able to visit the wineries. The breakfast is - as often noted - very generous. The bed was comfortable. The design and decor of the house is very tastefully done. The closet in the room was great to store luggage. The shared bathroom has separate rooms for the shower and toilet (although the sink in the toilet room is very small, so, for example, it would be difficult to wash your face in that sink if someone was taking a shower). Bnb is walking-distance close to a local pub, which was convenient for evenings after wine tastings.

The walk to the shared bathroom in the middle of the night is quite far - while we knew it would be a shared bathroom, we did not anticipate it would be ~30-40 steps to the end of the hallway to get there from our room. The shared bathroom being next to the kitchen/breakfast area was an extra challenge in the mornings. The AC in our room was finicky and the windows did not have screens (plus they were on the ground floor and quite heavy) - for our trip in the summer, the room got quite hot at night and there was no fan in our room. We also wouldn't have minded a smaller breakfast as making it for many guests at once seemed to be a challenge for our host, which was stressful for us when trying to be on time for other scheduled activities (two of the three mornings we were there the breakfast was served 20 minutes+ after we had requested it and there was only one French press for all of the guests, so coffee was in high demand).
