Le Farmhouse Munnar

A pleasant stay and the host MR. Gabriel is very friendly. The stay is a bit far from the Munnar town and is suitable for people who love to have a peaceful and pleasant stay. I should really thank Gabriel sir for making our stay very comfortable.

Homestay in a real sense. Gabriel is a welcoming host and made us feel like at home. Place has everything required for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is super tasty. There is a beautiful spice garden and Gabriel was kind enough to give us a tour. Very close to munnar and Anachal market near by has everything one needs.

Excellent place to stay with a fantastic educational walk through the tea plantations and cardamom hills with Gabrial - our lovely humble host. The place has a beautiful garden you can walk down to and a stunning viewpoint on the top level.

Gabrial was such a nice host, very kind and welcoming. He gave very good restaurant recommendations, provided very delicious breakfast and took us on a very beautiful & unique hike through the lush nature of Kerala and Anachal. Thank you so much!

We stayed at Le Farmhouse for three nights, and it was one of our highlights in our visit to India. Thanks in great part to the host/owner Gabriel, who showed us around his spice garden, and took care of us during our stay helping us with everything that we needed. I would strongly recommend you take the hike with Gabriel around Munnar. It takes about 6 to 8 hours, in which he explains to you a bit of history and botany. Moreover, make sure not to miss out on the delicious Puttu he serves for breakfast, one of the tastiest breakfasts we've had in our stay in India.

If I have to complain about something, I would say that the bed was a bit hard and not that comfortable, and that the bathroom could have been a bit better. All in all, if I were to visit Munnar again, I'd definitely stay at Le Farmhouse.

We loved our stay with Gabrial! He is such a lovely person and very caring. We spent a day with him hiking around the tea hills. He told us a lot about the plants and nature and we could ask him everything about his daily life in India. Also, I felt sick that day and he was very helpful, offered tea and ayurvedic medicine. The farmhous itself is close to the village Anachal. It's a very nice, greenish area and we loved the rooftop terrace of the homestay.

The room was a little bit dark. But that's the only thing.

Gabrial is a gentle and knowledgeable host. He made us very welcome at his home. The bed and bedding were comfortable, the shower hot and the breakfasts were delicious. There is a beautiful garden full of birds; Gabrial will show you around, telling you the names of the plants and giving you the chance to smell and taste. We picked and ate oranges. Gabrial guided us on a wonderful walk through tea and cardamom plantations and through the forest. I’d thoroughly recommend that if you have time. We ate our home cooked lunch on a rock, enjoying nature. Our stay was a highlight of our time in Kerala. Thank you.

Our time here was made special by the amazing host Gabriel and his son Abi who took us on a hike through the tea plantations and were so knowledgeable on the plants and nature that surrounded us. They brought along a packed lunch, cooked by Gabriel’s wife, and tea for us to enjoy while we looked out over the beautiful landscape. The room was comfortable and we shared breakfast with two other lovely couples staying at the homestay each morning, adding to the communal, homely feel of Le Farmhouse.

I absolutely loved staying at the Farmhouse. It’s a calm and grounding atmosphere in the mountains (with a lovely rooftop where you can do yoga or rest), still you can reach restaurants and other sights easily. The host is taking very good care of the guests, preparing homemade breakfast every morning. Would definitely stay there again :)
