Excellent facilities, very helpful owner

Comfortable room with a lot packed in and a lovely view of Tarbert marina and the hillside beyond. The property is across the road from a small working fishing port, and when considering booking I was concerned that this might detract from the location; it did not, it didn't spoil the view, didn't disturb the peace, and it added to the interest. Great breakfast - try Aby's Mexican porridge, along with everything else! A collection of artworks by Roger Dean. A choice of restaurants with in easy walking distance.

Mark and Abbie were so friendly and welcoming. They were interesting to talk to. My single room was perfect, not much of a view but that didn't matter. Bed was comfortable and a great shower. Fresh water and milk chilled in the hallway for guests to use. I couldn't have cooked breakfast as I was straight into a tough cycle but it looked really nice from what I saw served to others. I had fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, home made preserves and a lovely pot of tea. I couldn't fault it. They kept my bike secure for me. If I'm ever in Tarbert again I would definitely go back. Thank you.

Enjoyed our very comfy room and the lovely breakfast the next morning. The town was lovely. Abbie and Mark were both accommodating and welcoming. We really loved the Struan House.

Owner was great...and obviously a music lover...just ask him about Yes! He provided honest opinions on where to eat, pubs to visit...and all delivered with humor.

Breakfast amazing, staff more than helpful, great WiFi and amenities.

It's off season and a lot of the local restaurants were closed for evening meals. But nothing to do with Struan.
