Close to airport

On arriving at 5pm we went to check in the car at the rear of the property, and arrange airport transfers for the morning. We were told ‘I’ve been on shift for 12hrs and I’m going home, can you come back down at 10pm to book your car in’ (we had to leave for the airport at 3am so waiting up for 5hrs was ridiculous). The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on etc. Then throughout the night into early hours of the morning we heard staff talking very loudly outside our room, then proceeded to try to fix a car, revving the engine, turning it on and off, banging..this was about 1am!!!! A lot of shouting back and forth. No respect for the guest staying there. When we went down for our agreed transfer time we were then told to ‘wait there while we go and get a car to take you’ which we waited for 15mins standing OUTSIDE! At 2:55am. A rude driver then drove us to the airport, music blasting and at excessive speeds!!! My car then was driven and moved to another location (my vehicle app on my phone notified me of this!) I believe it should be just courteously to inform the guests if their car would be driven and moved!!! My car was returned to me at the airport with floor mats stinking and car covered in all sorts of leaves, twigs etc. ridiculous experience…I’d definitely pay a little bit extra next time, knowing that I’d get a decent sleep, friendlier staff and a peace of mind that my car would not be driven without my consent!!!

Short walk to the airport (10 mins) tho a word of warning not ideal in the dark busy road and no pavements ! Not ideal if you have lots of luggage / kids

Brilliant for a little stay over after our night flight. The room was small but had everything we needed and the fresh milk and proper tea bags were a great touch! Brilliant breakfast options available, nice and easy!

Very friendly staff on arrival. Option to park for airport really good. Nice tea and coffee

The walk to the airport doesn’t have a pavement so would be difficult with luggage

Once I found the place from the airport I found it to be a very quaint little cottage, the room was clean and comfortable. I didn't see any staff.

I booked and paid for a room with a bathroom and on waking at 3am to get ready for my flight the shower did not work and had to use the communal shower room. There was also no milk available either in the room or down the stairs where the breakfast area was and nobody around to ask.

A big effort was made to decorate the property with a woman's touch. It was like a family home. It is kind of close to the airport as many have said.

Not really the property's fault but that country road is dangerous for pedestrians. Not suitable for single women either. The council should do something. Sorry Cottage but it needed saying. Room felt damp also.
