Bedroom was lovely. Nice presentation.

Someone’s contact lens on the toilet floor. A “short and curly” on the shower floor, shower grubby. I wondered if the shower was stained or dirty, but the dirt came off easily when I tried to remove it. No fan in the bedroom that I could find, despite it being the height of summer.

The apartment was as in the pictures, big and clean. Breakfast was included and the staff very friendly. Flexible check-in. We used it as a base for the Tongariro Alpine crossing, recommended.

We had a great stay, very private and quiet. The continental breakfast was an added bonus. Very friendly hosts and we would definitely stay again. We highly recommend Tongariro Lodge for dinner. Great food and it's only a few hundred metres away
