"Lovely historic property, great host would definitely stay again"

8.0

It's a beautiful historic property in lovely countryside. We had a very spacious room with private bathroom next door, actually had our own staircase to room and bathroom which was good. Sandra was very welcoming and friendly and breakfast was great.

Bathroom facilities could be improved.

"Beautiful old house with original features"

10.0

It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in such a beautiful old house. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was home cooked and delicious and the host catered for our vegan dietary needs. Sandra is so welcoming and friendly and the local area beautiful with so much to explore.

"An experience - the house its age and style appeal. The overall vibe less so."

8.0

Its very isolated which we wanted but others might not. Nice bedroom and charming breakfast. The room was very nice if you like Elizabethan architecture.

It does feel like you are imposing. This is very much a family home and whilst made to feel welcome we never quite felt we should be there. TV was tiny and a long way from the bed. The aerial was sat on the wardrobe and needed constant adjustment to get a signal.

"Utterly charming"

1.0

This is a historic building and we were given the pleasure of staying in it, utterly charming. Also the hosts were as welcoming as you could be, good breakfast too.

Wifi did not work (only there for the one day so did not investigate, I am sure our hosts would have resolved the issue if we had raised it with them)

"Beautiful old house and comfortable stay."

9.0

Beautiful old house with many interesting features and a very welcoming host, set in lovely countryside. Breakfast was of a good quality and very tasty. The bed was so comfortable, and the area very quiet, that we had a good night's sleep. Also, lovely hot water for the morning - not always the case at a B&B.

The distance from the main road was quite far and through narrow roads - not a bother for us but could be for others, especially when dark. The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep, so may be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. For those who have difficulties with light pollution at night, there is a very bright light facing the house which streams light into the bedroom, even though the curtains are very thick. There is , also, a skylight that streams light into the room from early morning - the blind does not reduce this very much but wearing an eye mask solved the problem for me.
