4N Homestay- GOLDEN TEMPLE VIEW

As a solo female traveller I was looked after very well and felt very safe. The room was good and clean. The location was on the doorstep of the Golden Temple. Wifi I'd good through the hotel. Anoop organised a taxi to and from the hotel. He also held my luggage and let me wait on the terrace for my lift. Would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Not enough hot water. But it was hot outside.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this place. The family that owns this house is very friendly. The hostess cooks very tasty food. You can have breakfast with a view of the Golden Temple, which is very close. On the first day we arrived early, and the host gave us a room before check-in time. The host also gave us an upgraded room for the price of a regular one. The location of the house is great, with a wonderful view of the Temple from the rooftop.

What u pay that what you get. Rooms are small. But the owner there very friendly. The location is very very close to Golden temple.

Only thing I didn’t like is the uber doesn’t goes in😢

This is a small family hotel that sits on the temple walls. Unexpectedly, we arrived only at 2 am. The hotel was waiting for us at this hour and welcomed us happily. The hotel has an impressive view from the rooftop terrace over the golden temple. The service was attentive and excellent. I highly recommend the place!

The location is just great.The Homestay is very central but quiet.You can walk straight into the temple complex as the back to the temple entrance is directly opposite. It is more like an airbnb in that the family are available to help with arrangements and practical stuff. There is a local 24 hour laundry service. It was nice to be able to request cooked food. There is a cute terrace area to sit on with good views of Amritsar and the Sikh temple.

As a European not having sheets is unusual. Most places I stayed in Northern India,including family homes just have fleeces / blankets directly over them.This seems to be the norm and I did sleep well. Some rooms don't have natural lighting - again i was mainly in it to sleep and wash so the fact that it was clean ,comfy and safe was enough.

We booked this homestay for a weekend trip to Amritsar. The location is absolutely perfect, Golden Temple is just at a 2 min walking distance. The host is super friendly and treats you like family. Since we had limited time, it really helped having all good food outlets near to this stay. We found the price very reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a stay that checks all boxes.
