4N Homestay- GOLDEN TEMPLE VIEW

The location was perfect, directly next to the golden temple. It was honestly the cleanest accommodation I have had in India and the nicest bathroom. The rooftop terrace is a nice add on. Also, the owner was very friendly and supportive. He was booking the airport transfer and and the border tour for me. Everything was reliable and on time.

You just couldn’t pick a better location for the Golden Temple, the entrance is literally 30 meters away. You get the most fabulous views from the terraces especially when the Temple is lit up at night. We had a room actually on the terrace which was perfect, very clean and a lovely hot shower. It was great to while away a little time on the terrace and eat delicious home cooked food. Anoop and his wife (apologies I have forgotten your name) are most welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They also arranged transport from the railway station and to the airport as well as a taxi to the border ceremony. Many thanks for sharing your home we wish you good health and happiness.

Really good communication in advance with the owner. We only stayed for night. He arranged Airport Pickup and also the trip to wagah border ceremony. Without his Assistance this would not have been possible! The homestay is really directly at the entrance to the golden temple. You just have to cross the street in front! The rooms are cleaning and the family and the staff are really helpfull! You can also buy snacks, water and soda for a reasonable price at the reception. The son of the owner also suggested a restaurant which food we really enjoyed! 100% Recommendation

The location was great for the Golden Temple

When I had booked via booking.com it showed that I could pay at the property, I was constantly harassed for payment via messages and WhatsApp. I mentioned that I would be staying and arriving and payment will be made then. Even on the day of arrival I was receiving messages to say “you haven’t arrived” I just found this quite intrusive. On checkout we were asked how many water bottles we had consumed as they weren’t complimentary and were not told when we checked in. Rooms were very small if you have a lot of luggage.

The owner of homestay is a very helpful and kind person. He helped us to arrange the private car to wagah border and airport. (Take note only private car/tuktuk can bring you to the doorstep of homestay bcos here is heritage area, not allowed Uber to come in). The room is clean, has hot water to shower and air-conditioning. The location is very close to the golden temple, walking about 5-10mins will reach the gate of the temple and from the rooftop, we can also see the golden temple. Since already very near golden temple so also close to heritage walks ( can see the Jalliawala Bagh memorial park, Partition museum).

Everything! Excellent place! Communication was great from the minute we booked it. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are spacious, clean and very new/modern. Internet works very good. As for the roof terrace - it’s a perfect place to admire the golden temple, eat delicious home made food or just chill. Golden temple entrance is just few steps from the property.

We loved everything ;)
