"Nice, quiet area"

Our dwelling was completely separate, and we had our own keys. We were made to feel at home and our host was very friendly.

There was no shower gel and the fridge didn't work. It was exceptionally hot and no fans in the room to help cool down. The bed was also quite noisy whenever one of us moved. We've not been to the Netherlands before and were prepared for it to be more expensive than other parts of Europe, but feel for what we got it was unnecessarily high - not sure how much of that was subject to a booking.com charge tho! We were only there for about 12hrs so didn't get a chance to speak to the host about any of the issues we had as just had dinner and slept after a very long day, but she was lovely and I'm sure she could have helped with some of these things.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquillity at this top floor apartment with balcony. It was so nice to listen to the birds singing. The apartment was spacious and the breakfast provided was tremendous. It was a very quiet area and nothing was too much trouble.

Very friendly host, in a lovely location that's very quiet. Nice and comfortable room and kept clean.

Would of reviewed higher if it wasn't for a few points. If it wasn't for reading a couple of previous reviews we wouldn't of realised that the host only accepts cash which we found a bit strange and inconvenient and I would expect a property on Booking.com to accept card or at least it to be made clear upon booking the room. Also upon arrival we were asked what time we would like breakfast, we asked for 7:30 but we were told the earliest possible would be 8:30. So we had our breakfast prepared in the evening to eat in the morning. Also there was no bin anywhere in the room or bathroom which we found quite odd and meant that my wife had nowhere to dispose of sanitary products. So would highly recommend the host provide a bin in future.
