Wynberg House Bed & Breakfast Swansea

Fabulous breakfast! Quirky, comfortable house, very comfy bed and hot shower. Mel, the owner is lovely. Well situated for Swansea and the Gower.

Comfortable, attractive rooms. Excellent freshly cooked traditional breakfast. Plenty of 'treats' in the room in terms of the choice of drinks, kitkats, biscuits, welsh cakes etc. A friendly atmosphere. Attentive, kindly hosts. I like this particular Swansea suburb very much with its proximity to Singleton Park and the University. Particularly good if driving, as parking is no problem. Good access to Gower and Swansea Bay in car and by bus.

We liked staying in the Garden suite which offered a sitting room and outdoor seating area overlooking St Pauls church. The location was perfect for us near Singleton Park and Brynmill Park and on the way to the Gower peninsula .

We enjoyed the social side of breakfast around a common table in the kitchen, but a discussion between the host and another guest got a bit deep for our liking that time in the morning!

The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Parking was directly outside the accomodation and it was free.

Ein wirklich privates B+B mit einem reizenden Gastgeberpaar. Sie haben die Unterkunft mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail dekoriert und stellen viele Informationen und Tipps zur Gegend zur Verfügung. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig; das Badezimmer musste geteilt werden, aber das wussten wir bei der Buchung.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein, allerdings gab es einen Schrankraum für die Koffer. Und es gibt keinen reservierten Parkplatz, wir fanden allerdings dennoch einen nahe zum Haus.

We did not participate in the breakfast that was offered as we had to leave before the scheduled serving time. The host (Julian) offered us some items to go, but we were not able to accept due to traveling issues unrelated to the stay. However, the breakfast was a full English breakfast with additional eggy toast. Sounded yummy and we were disappointed that we could not stay long.

Even though we were in the basement, which would normally be cooler than the rest of the house, it was very warm with no air movement. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room. The laundry room was behind the bedroom window and the lights were kept on all night with no method of keeping the room dark. We did not mention this to Julian, but perhaps these comments will help him with future guests. These are not complaints as we made the best of it, but things that could have made our stay a little more pleasant, even though we had a very nice stay overall.
