There are not enough adjectives in language to describe our love and admiration for this Homestay, its owner and team. Ajay and his team ensure nothing is missed. The amazing curated breakfast, inquisitive questions to understand you and excursions or experiences you may enjoy go above and beyond anything we would ever expect. The Artwork, linens, layout—— incredible. Nothing is missed. I fell head over heels for Ajay and his team. He makes you feel like a best friend who just walked into his home and wanted to make sure your experience was outstanding. I felt as though I’ve known him for decades. He and his team also organized transport for us, offered suggestions on where to get massage, have dinner, what beach to walk, etc. When a transfer was late to take us to the airport at 3am, Ajay kindly got out of bed, called the person and waited with us to make sure we made our flight. I’ll never forget Villa Jacaranda or the team that made our experience so incredible. I can only hope we will return and soon!

Loved everything about this Villa from location , decor , pool, breakfast on our balcony , beautifully landscaped gardens but above all the kindness and attentiveness of our host Ajay and all his staff there . It very much felt like we were invited into Ajay’s home. Amazing massages offered a few doors down with discount too !

The location. Next to a wonderful Ayurvedic spa and drop in yoga class. Located on the quieter south end of Varkala. Easy 5 minute walk access to the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas for rent at the end of the north beach. Tuktuks available across from the property. 150 ir to go anywhere in town. The food. Wonderful homemade brown bread and jam, beautiful fresh fruit salad, perfectly poached eggs. The people. Ajay the owner was very personable and engaging. Sami served a great breakfast and arranged laundry for me. The guests were wonderful to chat with as well.

I had the chance to spend 10 days at Villa Jacaranda with my mother, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Ajay and his entire team are exceptional hosts: attentive, caring, always available, and genuinely dedicated to making every moment special. The villa itself is a true haven of peace, perfectly designed for rest and inner balance. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of, the atmosphere radiates serenity, and you immediately feel a positive and calming energy. The setting is simply stunning, ideal for relaxation and well-being. We are leaving with precious memories and deep gratitude. I wholeheartedly recommend Villa Jacaranda to anyone looking for an extraordinary stay where comfort, authenticity, and hospitality come together in the most wonderful Indian way. A heartfelt thank you to Ajay and his team for this exceptional stay. We will definitely be back!!!

The view from our room was unbeatable, and the entire property was very tastefully decorated. We also very much enjoyed the garden on the terrace and the swimming pool. Breakfast was good, but it was limited to a continental spread of fresh fruits, fresh-baked bread, and eggs made a few different ways. This place has European tastes dialed in in every detail. The on-site manager, Sunny, was friendly and efficient. The Ayurvedic health spas on the same street are amazing, and we used the one next door.

There seemed to be very little wiggle room other than continental breakfast options, but as mentioned above, it was fine for a day. Our room's a/c unit was not functioning properly and affected our sleep, but at some point, we ended up opening the door for some air, braving mosquitoes, which thankfully was not an issue during our visit.

The villa is so elegant and the garden is completely stunning. We adored the pool—it’s like a little paradise and photos simply do not do it justice! Our breakfasts were outstanding and we felt so lucky to sit and enjoy them on a beautiful balcony overlooking the gorgeous garden. Cat, dog, and duck hosts were very cute.

We didn’t exactly dislike anything, but our welcome was a bit distant, though perfectly polite. Some travellers prefer that approach, so we don’t think it’s a negative in general (all of our needs were swiftly and courteously met, and the breakfast was exceptionally good!), but our favourite thing about the other places we stayed in Kerala was the warm welcome, with friendly chat and detailed local recommendations.
