Villa Jacaranda

Ajay the host was incredibly kind and informative- we had some great chats. The garden is exquisite and full of tropical flowers and birds. Our room was lovely - beautifully furnished with a great balcony overlooking the garden and the sea beyond. Breakfasts were delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff - I particularly liked the fruit salad at breakfast and the banana milkshakes. All round great vibes! The location on the South Cliff is the best - much quieter and nicer than the north. The villa is opposite a great yoga centre - Suft and Soul, and just above a lovely quiet beach for morning and sunset swims. A perfect place for an introduction to Keralan life. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

The staff, the owner, the beautiful lush garden and food. Villa Jacaranda is like an oasis just past the busy Varkala cliff. I couldn’t have been happier with my stay. I met some likeminded guests and it felt like a home away from home. Ajay has created a beautiful place, every detail of the house tells a story. He also has some lovely pets and most days I just wanted to relax on my terrace and enjoy the view. The room and bathroom was super clean and bedsheets and towels changed regularly. I was so happy here I decided to rebook again for next year only days after departing. A true to gem and if you manage to find an available date to book don’t hesitate as it may be too late since it is in high demand (and now I know why!).

We had the most memorable stay at Villa Jakaranda, and although we stayed a full week, we could happily have stayed longer. Everything - from the lovely room, our delicious breakfasts on the balcony, swimming in the pool late afternoon, chatting with Ajay, watching the extraordinary flash of blue as the kingfisher passed through - was a delight and we loved every minute. Thank you, Ajay, and your wonderful staff - Sunny, Ramash and the ladies. You’ve created something very special which feels genuinely happy and peaceful. We certainly hope to return in the not too distant future.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Jacaranda, the room, the pool, the breakfast, the interior design, we have enjoyed it all. The location in South Cliff is also great, just a short walk from the beach. Ajay and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

The property was perfect, quiet location, sea view from our room and only 4 rooms. The breakfasts and dinners were outstanding and housekeeping was superb.

Ajay, our host was so nice. We enjoyed chatting to him. The villa was well designed and we enjoyed having our own private balcony where we took breakfast. We had dinner in on the second evening and the food was delicious. He recommended a restaurant on the first evening which was well chosen. There’s a small pool in the courtyard which was wonderful to cool down in . He also has a little black spaniel, a cat and a duck, who , of course added to the atmosphere. The staff were absolutely sweet and respectful.

Fantastic

Beautifully decorated, fantastic balcony with candles and books, super clean, daily housekeeping, crisp clean bedding, great fridge , constantly good hot water and excellent wifi. Beautiful finishing touches. Breakfast is excellent with fresh fruit and cooked eggs of your choice, also delivered to your balcony. Great same day laundry service. Pool is in a lovely garden. Great Tibet restaurant is a 2 minute walk away.

Nothing . It was exceptional accommodation. The owner was very professional. Drawback was a staff member very keen on tips but the owner was very proactive in addressing this. The best accommodation we have stayed in after 6 weeks travelling India. Honestly , this villa is lovely!
