Porta Amari B&B

Great location to port and train station. Easy access to wonder the streets of Palermo.

Found the bed very hard for us. Street noise took a little getting use to. Had our own private bathroom which was great . needed a little updating as bath shower screen leaked making floor very slippery.

Location was not good for us, a bit far from the station to get away in the morning. The beds were hard and there was no ensuite although I think I missed that in the description. There was a private bathroom but the shower screen was not fixed properly and was broken.

Location was what we wanted as we like to see ferries and cruise ships come in. Host was friendly on arrival and explained everything. You could contact them if needed.

As kitchen had shared facilities some guests left their dirty dishes in the sink. That is not the fault of the hosts.

This B&B is an apartment in a 6- or 8-story building. When you book a room, you are booking a bedroom within this apartment. We had a room with a bathroom in the room but I don't think all have that. The room is very small and there is not a lot of storage solutions so we didn't have enough space to unpack both of our suitcases. The bathroom is also tiny, you can definitely see through the opaque door, and the water temperature during the shower varied. We had a balcony that overlooked the courtyard and there is a balcony in the dining room that has a view of the city. The breakfast was lots of various pastries that were available throughout our stay and a few fresh ones were brought in each morning. The location is pretty convenient, about 15-20 minute walk to most points of interest. Toni was very helpful and quick to respond.

Private bathroom but outside the room.

Initially I thought we were far away from the centre but it was perfect. A short 15 min walk to old town, very close to the port (which was great as we arrived by ferry). Easy walk to bus stop for Mondello Beach.

It vas very bad room its an old one very small discusting i stay one night and run away next morning. I device every body dont think about this place

We liked literally everything. Staff (fluent english speaking host), clean facility, 24/7 available breakfast room and fridge, location and sea view (beautiful sunrise over the port) from balcony.

Location was great w wonderful restaurants nearby Washing machine and clothes lines readily available

We were told it was a 15 minute walk from the train station to property. We walk everywhere so didn’t think much about it. It was in fact half an hour. When we arrived at property the elevator was not working. We had to walk up 80+ steps The bathroom is a converted closet 3 1/2 ft x 6 not including the shower We are small people but could barely fit.
