Solas Surf

This is truly a hidden gem in Ahangama - this was by far the best stay in Sri Lanka! Feels just like home (like a luxury beach home ;) ). The first thing I loved was the fact that it is a quiet place despite it being in a convenient location close to restaurants and shops. You can actually sleep while listening to the waves (but without the traffic noise like in other places). The architecture is impressive, the breakfast is good, the Wifi is good for some remote work if needed, the access to the beach is convenient while you can still enjoy the private garden. The gem of the place is the people working here that make you feel like home: the owners are very kind, the personnel is very attentive to all your needs and you can get the best Yoga classes right in the garden shalla thanks to the kindest yoga teacher, Francesco. Not forget, you will get unconditional love from Jane, the dog creating the magic at the property. The beach is probably the best around for swimming, there are no rocks and the sand is super soft. If I come back to Sri Lanka, this would be the first place to return.

Das Hotel war das Beste, welches ich in Sri Lanka hatte. Ich war wirklich traurig, als ich abgereist bin. Die Mitarbeiter und die Gastgeberin versprühen soviel Wärme und Liebe vom ersten Moment. Das Hotel ist super sauber und die Preise sind absolut fair. Ich würde auf jeden Fall unbedingt wieder zurückkommen.

Das wirkliche einzige, dass ich bemängeln kann, ist dass man in meinem Zimmer, das Fenster im Bad nicht komplett schliessen konnte und teilweise sehr wenig Wasser aus der Dusche kam, so dass es immer wieder auf die Handbrause umgestellt hat.

Kleines familiär wirkendes Hotel mit toller Lage, sehr zuvorkommenden Personal und sehr gutem Essen.

The staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast (and the sourdough), the views - everything was immaculate. The pool is extremely well maintained - to the end that swimming in it felt like a natural pool than. The beach right outside was perfect for a refreshing swim. Anosha is a splendid host. Anyone looking for an amazing stay - book this little piece of heaven right away.

They take a lot of efforts to prepare extra meals for the guests, hence the meal prices are quite high as compared to places outside. But that is fair, since they aren’t a restaurant.

The entire stay was excellent, we loved our time at the property. The owner went above and beyond with plan with my wife to make my birthday special. The cake and over all the food was awesome. Thanks a lot.

Solas Surf is een prachtige villa aan het strand. Echt een top verblijf! De mensen die er werken zijn ongelofelijk gastvrij, het eten is echt heerlijk en beter dan de meeste restaurants. We kregen een Thaiboksen les in de tuin wat echt heel leuk was. Yoga klassen worden ook gegeven. Ze hebben ruime keuze uit surfboards om lekker zelf te gaan surfen, maar een surfleraar is ook aanwezig als je dat wilt. Ik zou er bijna speciaal voor naar Sri Lanka teruggaan om hier weer te verblijven.

Das Hotel wunderschön direkt am Strand gelegen und man ist in einem Katzensprung in Ahangama. Die Anlage an sich ist gepflegt und der Pool ist super und vorallem in der low-season goldwert. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und super bequem. Wir haben einen Surfkurs gemacht und können diesen auch weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder, am besten dann in der High-season!

Das Frühstück war vergleichsweise schwach zu den anderen Frühstücken die wir hatten, dennoch war es gut.

Quel séjour fabuleux ! Nous sommes restés 5 jours dans l’hôtel, que dire de plus qu’extraordinaire ? Nous avions l’impression d’être à la maison, avec un personnel adorable, attentionné, les transats face à la mer, la plage, les planches de surf en libre service, la nourriture, tout y était parfait !
