Solas Surf

Everything was just perfect. This property is intimate with only 5 rooms but the actual space is big, plenty of garden, living, and relaxing areas. The beach is spectacular and the property has a large beach frontage compared to other places we have stayed in the south coast. The beach was still excellent even though it was low season. But to make everything great, they have an excellent menu and the quality of food was great especially vegan and seafood options. The staff are also well trained and attentive. The property is well maintained. Overall one of the best properties we have stayed in.

Great location right next to the beach. very cosy atmosphere. Just 5 rooms so you get a very homie feeling. The owners and staff is super lovely people. The food was great. They offer yoga twice a week and private surfing coaches.

Solas Surf is everything someone traveling with his little family and a surfboard could ever wish for: A beautiful property with a lush garden and direct access to the beach. Several surf spots right at the doorstep, which are perfectly suited for intermediates (if you get up early and dodge the crowds). Excellent food, freshly prepared by a talented and skilled chef. All managed by probably the kindest and most attentive hosts you‘ll find on the southwest coast. During our short stay in March, Solas has already become one of our favorite places to stay, not only in Sri Lanka but overall. 🤙🏼

there is nothing not to like

We stayed for two weeks in Solas Surf and we had a really good time. The room was very nice and clean. The beach is directly in front of the place. Harin and his wife are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed every day and looking forward to coming back :)

I love so much the family atmosphere at the hotel. We regularly met with other guests during the breakfast, as there is a common table, that brought everyone together. Owners of the hotel are heartbreaking guys! they are very attentive, sensitive to each guest and friendly. Really quickly can manage all your desires, suggestions and potential problems. will help you to organise your leisure time and recommend some destinations. I really like that the clean, wide beach Kabalana is just near the hotel. Meanwhile, there is a wonderful garden before the beach with few comfortable sun beds with umbrellas. Also there is an opportunity to rent the surf board or to arrange a class with the instructor. Food are marvellous here, rice and curry and fresh mango are must tried dishes. The rooms are really comfortable, clean and well-furniture inside
