Dale View bed & breakfast

Good location for what we wanted. Private bathroom was a decent size with good shower. Very good supply of teas, coffees, milks and water. Really good breakfast cooked to perfection. Fan in the bedroom was much appreciated in the hot weather.

Parking was a little bit tight but manageable.

Nice cooked breakfast. Very generous selection of 'extras' available if you forget to bring something, shower gels, shampoo, dental floss sticks, mini toothpastes, toothbrushes and more. I stayed at the rear of the house - very quiet. Could hardly hear anyone else in the house despite there being other guests. Owner was lovely. Ignore the very few negative remarks in these reviews that seem to be from people who haven't read the info clearly provided beforehand. Lovely fish and chip shop at Seascale less than 10 mins drive away

Room info book and Q&A section of booking.com says breakfast from 7:30am. I was only offered 8am onwards with the 9am slot taken. Seemed odd as breakfast room set up with a table for each room. Not too much of a problem for me but bear in mind if you planned getting away early in the morning

Great location Really good value Beautiful view We were leaving very early so Jo the host accommodated us by leaving us breakfast out. Really nice touch

It was cosy and had everything we needed

Jo was a great host, I was running a little late, but she was accommodating when I arrived and knew a great local place to eat for evening meal. She offered a breakfast option as I was leaving early, but I had things with me.

Not a negative, but would have been good if there was a bed only option as I left early and was not able to take advantage of what would have likely been a great breakfast, there was the offer of cold things (fruit etc)

Jo is very lovely, we had the best night sleep both beds we slept in were very comfy. Jo was extremely accommodating with providing fluffy dressing gowns, cotton swabs, razors, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Breakfast was delicious, everything was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be staying again. Loved waking up to happy chickens outside. Thank you Jo!
