Great staff, good variety and quality of food, great location, with a very reasonable parking option. Clean and well equipped room. A very popular pub, with a nice crowd!

Breakfast. The staff were brilliant. The meals in the evening.

Room 6 could do with curtains to keep out the sun light.

Loved the room (room 2). Very comfortable bed. Plenty of room for our dog Ruby and a lovely touch with the dog bowls, fleece, treats and towel ! The food is excellent and the breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. All the staff are friendly and helpful which helped make our stay extra special. We've been coming to The Royal for a few years now for meals and drinks but first time staying. We highly recommend to anyone that wants to be in the hub of activity in Barmouth. So even in out of season the pub was lively on a Thursday night which makes for a great atmosphere.

Me and my husband liked the building. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was amazing. Parking was easy to use and good price for 12 hours. The location was good as it was less than 5 minutes away from the train station if you came on the train. Check in was fast and easy, staff was excellent.

I have got Asthma and I did struggle with the stairs as they was steep and there is no lift with the building being old and small.

Great location in Barmouth once you’ve checked in there is a separate entrance from the streets? You don’t have to walk through the bar each time you go in and out of your room.

The only issue I had was the noise which was fully disclosed before booking. I was also staying on the hottest day of the year on a bank holiday weekend so it’s probably nosier than normal.

Absolutely delightful location. Central to so many great views. It was a very quick walk to the beach and town.

You do have to climb the stairs to get to your room, but that is common with pub accommodation and not a bad mark on the location.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels, and it's safe to say The Royals staff are some of the friendliest most helpful we have ever come across. Despite it being a bank holiday, during a heatwave the staff were under extra pressure but you would never of known. Exceptional service. The rooms were good value for money, location perfect and beer cold!
