Thorold Country House

Private room with all facilities but nearby main house for breakfast Quiet location 5k out of Thames, felt like a little oasis Peaceful surroundings Pool available to use Owner helpful and attentive as needed Lovely continental type breakfast with tasty, homemade preserves Owner has a very friendly cat and a small young dog, they were around periodically.

Nothing Not really a dislike but the refurbished room needs updated photos as bedroom ones are out of date

The property is very intimate. We were the only ones staying. The rooms are set back from the property and quiet even though the property is just off the main drag into Thames.

beautiful property and grounds and very gracious hosts. outside swimming pool looked inviting but we didn’t get a chance to use in the pouring rain

steep road access. not for nervous drivers

Wendy and Gary were very hospitable and the cooked breakfast was very good as well.

Lack of conveniently placed outlets for device charging (minor issue that we were able to work around)
