"Whitby adventure."

Loved the decor, Lee the proprietor was excellent. We loved the antiquity of the house and the lovely care given to the details of comfort given to the guests. Breakfasts were superb and the variety was great.

The hotel is run by a lovely chap who is very helpful! My room was spotlessly clean and beautifully arranged, the fact that I enjoy the Victorian asthetic helps there. The bathroom was also spotless and nice to use. The fact that, because I was travelling at a quiet time of year, I was given a free upgrade in my room, from Single to Double en-suite, was just amazing!

The only things I wasn't as happy with were the mattress, which felt as though the springs had half given out on one side, and the lights in the bathroom being on a timer. I understand why timers are popular, but having to frantically wave through the door of the shower every two minutes lost it's charm quite quickly.

"Lovely victorian house."

Lee was very welcoming,he carried our suitcase to and from our room. Room was immaculate . Bathroom on the small side but shower hot and Powerful. Bed very comfortable. Extra pillows and bedspread available in wardrobe. Breakfast was delicious 😋 especially Lees homemade marmalade.
