Very kind and helpful owner. Great breakfast and facilities

Not in a proper condition to like.

Property is very untidy and flies all around the bed rooms. Even washed clothes hang around in the main bed rooms. Immediately we cancel the stay. There are two stray dogs around the property. It was not ready to check in at 3 pm as well.

Every thing .. specially the owner he is a tour guide and also a chef who knows how to cook well al the cuisines

Spacious clean rooms with air conditioning and a fridge. Friendly and responsive host. We really enjoyed the short walk across the railway tracks and through a mango grove to get to the beach. Breakfast was very tasty. The two dogs were very friendly and even came to meet us and walk us home when we were returning from a wedding in the evening!

It wasn’t a problem for us but the property takes payment in cash (as do most places in bentota) so it’s worth getting some cash out ahead of your arrival!

Quite location. Occasional passing train. Nice beach. Lovely room. Curries were delicious and not spicy.

Strange than an apartment with fridge and kettle does not include any cutlery etc. Had to request room towels (which is ok if missed) but were given very old / beach towels only

Manel Villa's greatest asset is its location. The beach is walking distance to this villa and villa has its own private area in the beach. And prices are reasonable. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the sea for a few days for an affordable price, I'm sure this place can satisfy you.

Great location between the beach and Prem Restaurant. The villa property is attractive.

The room felt a little stale. The mattress was a bit sunken, the bathroom sink barely had water pressure, and the bathroom window wouldn't close so it was impossible to keep mosquitos out. Also, the key system was a bit unusual: You needed to put your key in a slot on the wall by the door for the room to have electricity. When you leave the room to go to town or the beach, and remove to key from the slot to lock the door, the electricity goes off – including electricity to the mini-fridge – so everything warms up.

Decent enough location for a short stay, only three minutes to the beach. The breakfast was OK but the dinner that we ordered was very good - the carrot and cashew curry a standout.

I booked this place because of the great review, which I absolutely dont undersatnd. Beach is 2 mins walk, however you have to walk literally through trash Comfy bed Kind host

Huge cockroaches both in our room and bathroom. Not clean, poor breakfast You always have to have the curtains closed, as there are always people in the garden right of your window. So we always had to turn the light on, no natural light. They have a creepy dog who was following us everywhere altough I asked the host to please keep him away. He even came with us to the beach, I was very uncomfortable all the time because he was not friendly (although I do love dogs) No water pressure at all, impossible to wash the sand off after the beach. Plus only cold water.
