Mount Royal - Penzance

Breakfast was very good indeed

I can't think of anything that needed improvement

Everything! We were on a 28 day stay in Great Britain and stayed at eight different properties and this was by far the best. The location was great, the view from our room was perfect (view of St Michaels Mount), the room was bright and cheery, parking was outside the door; but the most significant difference was the hosts. They made us feel welcome instantly and chatted with us every morning at breakfast. One of those places where you’re really sad that you have to leave.

We had an amazing stay. The room with the sea view is the most beautiful room. Breakfast was excellent and the owners very friendly. We can't say anything bad about this place.

I booked a room with sea view and the view from the room was gorgeous, with a great view of the sea and St Michael's Mount in the distance. I really liked the hotel's Victorian style décor. Bed was comfy and the power shower worked well. The breakfasts were good too, I had mentioned in advance I am vegan and I felt very well catered for, the individual oat milk sachets in the room were also much appreciated! The hotel has a small car park at the rear which was very handy. The hotel owners were both very friendly and polite. Lots to see in the area and some very good restaurants/ quirky pubs in the town. We had a great stay and would like to come back.

There was a bit of traffic noise from the road outside, however this didn't stop us having a good night's sleep.

Mount Royal is a beautiful Victorian/ Edwardian house which the owners Tom and Melanie have decorated in historical style. I felt very comfortable staying there and enjoyed a glorious sea view from my bedroom with St Michaels Mount in the distance. Being tall it was very appreciated to have an extra long bed in the very spacious room. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious.

I really liked the room's furnishings; they are very elegant. Moreover, this is a room with a view of the sea, making me not want to leave from morning till night.
