Riverbank Lodge

The lodge is situated beautifully on the banks of the Orange river. The room and bathroom was spacious. There is a shower and bath. The linen and towels are good quality and the bed is comfortable. The room is old, but clean and neat. There is a TV with DSTV channels, fridge, kettle, coffe/tea and a airconditioner. There is free wi-fi available. There is a cement table and benches under a zinc patio - but no view. We highly recommend the lodge if you can overnight in the rooms at the front with a view over the Orange river. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The room (7) is dark and cold without any view. There is no table with work space in the room. The only plug with a multiplug, is near the fridge. The shower did not work properly. The interior and furniture in this room is a bit old fashioned.

The friendliness of all the cleaning, gardening and host was absolutely fantastic. Felt like home away from home. The beautiful gardens were relaxing with an amazing view of the beautiful river. Stunning barbecue facilities and we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast in a relaxed dining room.

Maybe have a look at upgrading the taps in the shower. If you open the Coldwater only a wee bit, all the hot water dissappear.
