Walford Hotel

Location was amazing, the lady who served us was also amazing, she was so nice, and the breakfast was delicious.

I didn't like how we were right at the top. It was a bit of a pain for my osteoarthritis, but it's okay. I kept thinking about my steps, haha. The guy was a bit of a miserable sausage, but I suppose we can't all be happy chappies.. and the rooms needed a bit of a spruce up. Another pillow would of been nice.

One of the staff behaviour was not friendly. Other staff was owsome.

The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble. Travelled alone with two small children and felt very safe staying in this hotel. Good quality breakfast at a reasonable time. Excellent location, within a few minutes walk of major attractions like the Tower, beach, amusements. Hotel very clean.

Couldn't make mobile calls, room decor was a bit outdated,

It was close to everything. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and fast at coming round.

Bed was so uncomfortable but did what we needed, fire alarm going off at 7am

Good location less than a 5 minute walk to the promenade.

I made an honest mistake when booking our room and only put in 2 adults 1 child when there was 2 adults 2 children, I wasn't aware of this until we reached the property where the guy then proceeded to make me feel like rubbish implying It was done on purpose ect, i explained i wasnt aware and was a mistake and i was happy to pay extra and, or for the children to share a bed and also to miss out on breakfast but he was persistent in letting me know he "sees it all the time" & he has "heard it all before". my son Unfortunately became unwell and we had to leave without staying the night which I was pleased about in a way. Overall the hotel is very dated and dull. The room was actually really clean the only downfall was the outside of the windows being dirty to the extent of not being able to see out of them we also only had a bath in our room and the bathroom door wouldnt close. Definitely not worth £112 a night.
