Walford Hotel

Breakfast was okay. Would have liked a option on what i received. Same breakfast each day. Admittedly being a non-meat eater, probably limited availability.

The location was great but unfortunately that was about it.

I stayed here with my partner, daughter, nana and grandad. On arrival we was greeted with a happy face gave keys and everything was great. When entering the rooms an overwhelming smell of fust was present and when had a look around the room they was dirt in the bottom of our shower which wasnt ideal seen as the price wasn’t exactly cheap. We tried to put the TV on and it only had 2 prongs instead of 3 so we struggled to plug in into the wall so on the way out my partner asked the staff to have a look at the TV for us whilst we was out. When I arrived back into our rooms it was absolutely boiling, also there was no plug sockets near the beds for my grandads oxygen machine so my partner asked for an extension lead and a fan if they had one. We couldn’t shut the windows all night because of how hot it was so unfortunately we were woken up several times to loud music so we didn’t get much sleep. In the morning we we out for some fresh air and on the way in the male owner/manager greeted us with an aggressive nature accusing us of leaving rubbish on the front in which my grandad replied ‘we wouldn’t do that’ the male aggressively said ‘well you’ve complained about everything else’ the male starts pointing in my face aggressively, upsetting my 4 year old daughter. My partner then defended us and he said he will go get his son in law to ‘fill him in’ he then declined us of our breakfast and told us to ‘f$ck off’ all because we asked for an extension lead and him to fix our tv plug which is really confusing to why he got so angry. In my opinion I would avoid at all costs it’s massively overpriced and not worth the hassle.

The location was perfect literally minutes from the beach

Lack of plug sockets- but i read the reviews and saw this previously so i took my own small extension lead otherwise we wouldnt of been able to charge everyone's phones

the staff were very friendly breakfast was great and all the kids needs were met

unfortunately all the beds need replacing mattresses were so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep on them and came home 1 night early overpriced and wasn't offered any type of refund

The room and beds are very clean hosts where friendly, the atmosphere when you walked into the hotel was really friendly. Breakfast was nice they gave options for the two little one. But overall, I would recommend for families to stay at this hotel.

That there was no room to leave bags the next day until it was time for us to travel home with two toddlers, two prams, and two overnight heavy bags to carry around the activities we had booked for the little ones was a nightmare
