The Residence Hikkaduwa

Best accomodation over the 3 weeks of our Sri Lankan visit. Super helpful owner, lovely staff, great location, awesome room, pool and breakfast. We loved it.

The host is very friendly and accommodating and helps wherever he can. The rooms are very spacious and modern. The breakfast was also delicious and freshly prepared every day! The accommodation is also in a good location and the beach and main street are just a few minutes' walk away.

Absolutely everything!. Absolutely stunning room with everything you needed. Helpful host who lived onsite to help with anything you needed to know and arrange transport. Great breakfast and good location

Wow wow wow 😳 this place is amazing. Could not fault it. Everything here was faultless. The rooms, the pool and surrounding areas were excellent, Chamara made us so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely recommend this to our friends. It certainly deserves the 10 rating on booking.com. I would give it 11 if I could 🙂

Very nice place, a best of class hybrid between a boutique hotel and a home stay. Breakfast was a huge spread of delicious local specialties. We had Wood Apple juice and Egg Fruit for the first time- incredible! Highly reccomend. Chamara is very attentive and helpful with transportation and arranging activities around the SW coast or further afield. He transported us to Galle and arranged a Safari that toured Yala and Bundawala in one day!

The reviews do not lie when it comes to this place. Chamara the host really gives your stay a homestay feel, while you have all the luxuries of a hotel. The rooms are spacious, spotless, the property has a pool and rooftop and you also have a private balcony area. Chamara was there for any recommendations and help we needed, including booking us a table at a local restaurant and informing us of train times and operations. He really made us feel at home and gave us everything we needed during our stay. I could not fault our stay and for the price, you'd be crazy not to stay here! 10/10 thank you Chamara

1. Amazing hosts. Professional, polite and caring. Helpful suggestions about what to see, what to do. 2. Fabulously designed property - just two guest rooms. Better than most luxury hotels! 3. Huge room - spotlessly clean and so thoughtfully designed with all amenities and facilities. 4. Quiet location - with small & clean swimming pool, manicured lawns, trees, sit-out chairs, private breakfast table. 5. Fabulous breakfast. 5. If at Hikkaduwa - this is the place I shall stay again. Strongly recommended.

I am sure the Hosts will invest in continuous improvements, that are required in any tropical climate, to tackle mosquitoes, cross-ventilations, bathroom exhausts, dampness!
