Brackness House Luxury B&B

We had a terrific, relaxing couple of nights at Robert and Catriona's B&B. We had a fabulous ground floor room leading to our own little patio area overlooking their lovely garden. The property is spotlessly clean, and extremely modern and well maintained throughout, and Robert and Catriona are extremely friendly and hospitable. Perfect hosts. The property is in a terrific location too, in a well established, quiet residential area, but only a few minutes walk to the centre of the lovely quaint village of Anstruther including the harbour as well as bars and restaurants. Terrific breakfast, too. Everything was perfect. Thanks again!

Robert and Catriona are both very friendly and most welcoming. The bedroom was both spacious and extremely comfortable. In addition, there is a beautiful lounge available to guests if you want to relax after a busy day. It was a lovely way to meet fellow travellers and exchange stories about what you had seen in the area. I would highly recommend Brackness. As I said to Robert when we left: "You set the bar high for the rest of our travels in Scotland!"

Location superb, 2 mins walk from Harbour. Robert and Catarina were perfect hosts, they went above and beyond with their service. Room was very clean and tidy as were all facilities. The breakfast was so good especially the scrambled eggs and haggis. Would definitely stay here again

We had a lovely stay in the garden room. Robert and Catriona were the perfect hosts, sharing their beautiful home with us. Breakfast was lovely, with great choices and freshly made hot food. Due to the lovely weather Robert set up breakfast in the outside seating area for us to enjoy. We even got cuddles from Pebbles the cat. There is ample parking at the B&B, where we could leave the car and walk 2 mins down to the harbour. Great B&B location to explore the area. We covered a lot of ground.

Very comfortable bed with soft sheets. Decent sized bathroom and spotlessly clean. Breakfast provided a varied choice and cooked to perfection.

The family room felt a little tired decor wise and had a slight musty smell. While the associated shower room was very nice the mastic round the shower could do with refreshing .

We're so happy we booked Brackness House for our night in Anstruther. We went to the Isle of May to see puffins and other birds and needed a place to stay. Brackness House is located a short walk from the harbour, it was perfect for us. The house is beautiful and the room was modern and spacious. We were welcomed super friendly and even got a full english vegan breakfast which was very delicious with selfmade jam and vegan sausages. The garden is beautiful, quiet and relaxing, the bathroom was big and modern, the bed is super comfy, there even is a reading room and a small garden house with a pool table ... we loved everything about our stay!

Great location, easy walk to the harbour and town centre. Very quiet! Fantastic host ( Robert). Great breakfast! Lots of nice touches throughout the stay!
