"Einfach, günstig, schön und Familiär!"

Ich bin am Flughafen Guwahati um 23:40 gelandet. Anjan die Kontakt Person von Namaskar Lodge, hatte für mich ein Taxi bestellt das mich am Flughafen abgeholt hat. Das war sehr angenehm zu der späten Zeit mit einem Fahrrad im Gepäck. Der Anjan ist sehr bemüht und setzt alles in Bewegung für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt für die Gäste!

"Alert!! Bad Family Trip! Price Increase On Arrival Day"

Flowers pots in the entrance area. Owners are very communicative and remain available for any questions you may have. Rimli is a great sales lady. Although it is a very old building but is maintained fine.

They increase the price on the day of arrival. When you are exhausted by a long trip and travelling with family, it’s quite easy to take advantage of. I know Rimli will not agree and reject by saying it’s a booking.com bug, we cannot give you cheaper price. Well, even if I consider there is a bug, why didn’t you reach out at-least one day in advance or cancel the booking? To this question, she said she didn’t see the booking earlier. Why do I have to pay for your mistake while you make profit when the family arrived exhausted. She also offered the option to cancel the booking.com booking to get discount since they have to pay commission. I have screenshots to back my claim. Receptionist have the attitude of not my business. When we ordered the food from them, we ordered vegetarian and non-vegetarian food since some of the family members were vegetarian. To my surprise they served both together in the same plates. We ended up wasting lots of time in the morning and left the lodge hungry and ate somewhere outside. When we complained to Rimli, she rejected by saying we don’t see behaviour from our staff in the past. Lastly, I lost my cool when I saw an email from Booking.com where they tried to marked the booking as we didn’t checkin at their place. I have the proof of receipt and photos that I stayed there. This is where I decided to put the review to help other family travelling avoid these discomfort. If they remove my review I will post on Google maps.

"Ruined Family Stay – Disappointed and Hurt"

Rimli’s mother was polite and welcoming, and the property has potential if managed with care.

Honestly, If the situation had not escalated after my first review, I might have ignored it and moved on. But instead of handling feedback professionally, I received insulting remarks and hostile messages from Rimli, the main contact. Her polite public response does not reflect how she actually communicated with me privately, which was deeply disappointing. The issues I raised were real: the price was increased on the day of arrival after my family had already traveled, and 3 week later one of the confirmed booking was wrongly marked as a “no-show,” creating stress and potential credit charges even though I had stayed there. And last but not least, there is 500 rupees Extra charges for Air conditioning, that I am not saying wrong, but it should be documented in the booking.com listing. These actions left us feeling taken advantage of when all we wanted was a peaceful holiday. The property itself also did not entirely match the photos - cheap finishes, poorly maintained bathrooms, may show mismatch between presentation and reality. I am adding photos for reference. The souvenirs were also not a simple gesture of kindness. They were pressed on us with lines like “I am like your mother, you must take this present” even after we politely declined several times. It felt less like genuine hospitality and more like pressure not to leave negative feedback. Rimli could learn humility from her mother, who was at least polite and tried to be accommodating. Her own approach - insulting guests, reacting impulsively, and then playing the victim in public - does not help in hospitality business. I also have screenshots and audio recordings of the hostile communication I received, which I am keeping as proof. If my experience is denied or misrepresented again, I may share them in my next review on Google Maps so that other travelers know the full picture. Sadly, what should have been a memorable family stay turned into a stressful and disappointing experience.
